Lions Club of Clarence, Tasmania - Who We Are
Who We Are
Volunteering for community projects is a personal sacrifice, that without it, many projects and achievements in our wonderful community would not be possible.

There are many charities, individuals and organizations that come and go. It is consistency that provides the long term benefits to us all.

The Lions Club of Clarence is one of Tasmania’s stalwarts. It has consistently contributed to our community in so many ways since it was established 42 years ago in 1965.

From humble beginnings today there are 34 very active members and three Life Members who have sacrificed so much for others.

Collectively, the current member base has in excess of 394 years of LIONS service to the Clarence Community.

Over the past 12 months, club members have volunteered in excess of 1,200 hours of community service. Therefore an estimation is that well over 50,000 hours have been given over 42 years by all club members! QUITE REMARKABLE yet this has been done without fuss and all for the benefit of the Clarence Community.

The past 12 months have particularly been busy with many projects.

Our members are constantly not just fielding requests but searching for various charities and organizations who deserve a helping hand to make their life just that little bit better. Or in some cases a whole lot better.

The Lions Club of Clarence has donated $21,500 cash to such charities and individuals over the past year – a great result.
